Hours Description: Full-time

Central Alberta Co-op invites applications for the position of Agro Division Manager to join our team at our Administration Office located in Red Deer, Alberta.

 

The Agro Division Manager will be accountable for the overall management of a group of locations situated in Innisfail, Crossfield, Eckville, Lacombe, Spruce View and Stettler to meet sales, expenses, and profit objectives.

 

Reporting to the Director of Operations, responsibilities for this position include the following:

 

· Manage clerical, technical and/or professional employees

· Oversee and monitor client satisfaction levels and identify areas for improvement to ensure a high standard of customer satisfaction across all areas of responsibility.

· Promote and ensure adherence to brand and merchandising standards, marketing efforts, image standards, safety, and asset protection

· Prepare/administer and be responsible for the achievement of budgeted goals related to pricing, sales, margins, expenses, and inventory

· Develop, analyze, and conduct budget reviews to ensure appropriate utilization of resources.

· Plan, develop and oversee the implementation of programs and policies.

· Establish short-term strategies, goals, and objectives in alignment with the strategic plan.

· Participate and lead the development of products and services to improve profit and increase customer satisfaction

· Coach and develop a team while providing direction and guidance, including performance management and training.

· Responsible for the recruitment of team leaders and/or team members.

· Plan, monitor, and manage a variety of projects (spanning 1 – 3 years) from initiation to completion. 

· Contribute to the development of the tactical and strategic plan.  

· Research and provide recommendations to senior management on trends and required strategies.

· Responsible for procurement of products and forecasting.

· Nurture and maintain relationships across the CRS, with Region and FCL

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture and 8 years of retail experience or 12 years of related experience in the crop input/agronomy industry
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license
